Why was Hannah Light body a remarkable woman?

During the 18th and 19th centuries,Liverpool was changing Mechanisation meant Liverpool became a wealthy city because things were being made and sold quickly-this is known as thee Industrial Revolution.However,it was also a time of great inequality:the slave trade;harsh conditions for the poor;lack of education for the poor and girls;religious and xenophobic discrimination.In this period,Hannah Light body was born.


In 1766 Hannah Light body was born.Her dad was Adam Light body(1729-1778)and her mom was Elizabeth Tylston(1735-1801).She was the youngest of her three siblings(which were all girls).She was highly educated and enjoyed debating skills.She was also a strong believer in Unitarianism. When she was 11 years old her father passed away leaving her one third of his wealth,which was kept in a trust by the time she was 21 years old.


Eventually,Hannah was uncomfortable with inequality.So that meant she was a Non-conformist. Hannah hated slave trade.If you didn't know slave trade was when people from Africa are kidnapped and shipped to Europe.Many people died.Hannah treats people fairly. Along time ago little children had to work in workhouses and factories.


In 1789 Hannah was married to an Irish man from Belfast called Samuel Gregg.He had a Quarry Bank were illegitimate,abandoned and orphaned children who were employers.Samuel Gregg had a problematic of suffering of Discrimination. Hannah took some of the children from the Quarry Bank and took some children from other workhouses to work in hers but in better conditions.Every week a doctor comes around  to check if they are ill and two teachers also two singing masters.


Hannah Light body has always valued education for girls.Her and Samuel had thirteen children.The children went to work in important roles such as politics.
